Thanks to my parents, I have been on skis since I was a toddler. However, I think that I advanced most rapidly in the years after graduating college. I worked as a ski instructor at Grand Targhee the winter after graduation, and it made me really step back and think about my technical skiing skills. Plus, I was able to practice and dial in my freeskiing abilities every single day, and my friends constantly pushed me towards trying new things. Now I live in the beautiful snowy state of Utah, where I get plenty of turns with plenty of friends. A few things that motivate me are early morning laps, peanut butter sandwiches mid-lift ride, and apres ski naps.
