How to Choose the Right BAÏST Glove System
Step 1: Pick Your Shell Style. The Classic gives you five-finger dexterity for pole work and zippers. The Mitt maximizes warmth by keeping your fingers together. The Trigger (3-finger) splits the difference — your index finger is free for precision while the other three stay grouped for warmth. All three accept the same interchangeable liners.
Step 2: Pick Your Liners. Every shell comes with a liner, but the system shines when you add more. The Spring liner handles warm days (25°F–45°F). The Super BEAST is your everyday workhorse (-10°F–20°F). The Waterproof liner adds a moisture barrier for wet/slushy conditions (-4°F–20°F). The Arctic liner handles extreme cold (-40°F to -15°F). The Skin Liner 2.0 is a touchscreen-compatible base layer that adds warmth under any liner.
Step 3: Consider the Everyday. If you want one versatile glove without the extreme-cold rating, the Everyday BAIST (5°F–45°F) is a lighter-weight option perfect for resort days and general winter use.
Ski Gloves vs. Snowboard Gloves: Does It Matter?
Skiers and snowboarders have different dexterity needs — skiers grip poles, boarders adjust bindings and strap in. The BAÏST system works for both because the goat leather shell breaks in to your hand shape and the modular liners let you adjust warmth without changing gloves. Many BAÏST customers use the same glove for both skiing and snowboarding
What Makes BAÏST Different from Traditional Ski Gloves?
Traditional ski gloves use fixed insulation sealed inside the shell. When conditions change, you’re stuck — too warm or too cold, no in-between. BAÏST’s removable, interchangeable liners let you adapt on the mountain. Pull the Spring liner in the morning, swap to the Super BEAST when the temperature drops after lunch. No other major brand offers this level of modularity in a leather ski glove at this price point.
