Why are these gloves better than other gloves?
We use premium genuine goat skin leather along with the highest quality materials. These gloves will keep you warmer than anything else out there and are extremely versatile because of the full BAÏST system. The BAÏST system is rated from -40°F to 45°F (-40°C to 7°C), depending on which liner you pair with which glove.

What gloves do you recommend?
It’s really a personal preference and dependent on where you’ll be skiing. If you like under the cuff and/or are in milder climates (above 13°F or -11°C), then the Everyday BAÏST might be best for you. If you’re looking for more versatility, I’d look at the system. It’s 7 gloves in one with a three-layer interchangeable system. Depending on the temperature, you should be good from spring days in the 40’s to freezing days at -40 with the Arctic Liner. Mitts will always be warmer than Triggers because all of the fingers are together. Trigger gives you a little extra dexterity and are very warm. If warmth is the no. 1 concern, I’d go with the Mitt System.
How can I tell what size gloves I need?
When in doubt, go up a half size. The size guide provides the best possible estimated measurements we can give you to determine your size. You can see all the details by taking a look at our size guide.
Measure two things in inches: around the widest part of your hand, about 2 cm above the thumb (not around the thumb), and length from the tip of your middle finger to the crease at your wrist. Pick the larger of the two sizes you fit.
Adult sizes, around / length: 60 = 6 / 6.3; 70 = 7 / 6.7; 80 = 8 / 7.2; 90 = 9 / 7.6; 100 = 10 / 8; 110 = 11 / 8.5; 120 = 12 / 9.
Kids sizes, around / length: 10 = 3.5 / 4; 20 = 4.8 / 4.5; 30 = 5.3 / 5; 40 = 5.5 / 5.5; 50 = 5.75 / 6.
What is the loop on the finger for?
If you get snow or any wetness inside the glove, this is for hanging the glove to dry. This positioning of the loop allows the glove to hang in the correct direction and drip dry properly.
Are these gloves actually touch screen compatible?
Yup, our touchscreen material is sicker than your average. It also wraps around 90% of the finger so that you can easily scroll and swipe. We have this built into our Skin Liners so you use these with any glove to make it a touchscreen compatible setup.
My gloves I just bought are a little stiff. Did I get the right gloves?
Probably not, the glove will feel a bit stiff or tight when they are new. This is because they are made from real goat skin leather. They break in and loosen up over the first day or so, and get better and better over time. For more specifics on sizing, check out our size guide.
Are BAÏST gloves waterproof?
Yes, over time the leather needs to be treated. We recommend using our private label beeswax sealant.
Are BAÏST gloves machine washable?
Both liners are machine washable with gentile detergent. Putting genuine leather in the wash wouldn’t be the best idea.
How do the BAIST Glove Liner and Skin Liner differ in terms of functionality and use?
When we refer to our glove liner, we're typically discussing the Beast or Super Beast Liner. These liners are already attached to our gloves' and mitts' shell, providing significant warmth for your hands. They are not meant to be used independently but are interchangeable, allowing you to easily refresh a glove that's become wet or old. Additionally, they can be washed, dried (tumble dry low), and swapped out based on different temperature requirements.
On the other hand, our Skin Liner is designed to act like a second skin. It can be used on its own or as a first layer under other gloves. This liner is equipped with sweat-wicking and touch-screen compatibility, ensuring you're never completely exposed and always have full use of your hands in any environment. A handy tip is to carry an extra pair of Skin Liners on your adventures. You can change them out halfway through the day to keep your hands feeling fresh and comfortable.

How was BAÏST born?
The Founder, Ace Jonas, is lifelong skier, boarder, telemarker and also has Raynauds — improper circulation to finger tips — so gloves were always super important to him. He had been through every glove brand out there, but they never quite had everything he wanted in a glove and they were $250-$350. He knew there had to be a way to make a better product at a more fair price. His initial goal was to make the perfect glove for himself and go from there. By going direct to consumer and not wasting money on marketing firms, website development or any extras. We put everything we can into the product, enabling us to make an extremely high-quality product at an accessible price.
How long has BAÏST been in business?
